Here’s a little something I’ll be working on this year. I’m on a bit of a break until February/March as I recover from a minor leg surgery, but I can’t wait to get back to the gym. Many athletes have been introducing rudi out trif pike into their routines (DD 2.2) and I think quadrifus pike (DD 2.7) will help me keep ahead of the competition. Can’t wait to start jumping again!
The Canadian Olympic Committee hosted a Partner Workshop a few weeks ago. It was a great time and included flash dancers, and trampoline performances by Olympic gold medalist Rosie MacLennan and Canadian freestyle skier Oli Rochon. In this video I do a twisting drill starting with back layout and progress up to quad full. It was suggested by youtube username Tiny1408. Thanks for the idea. I should have some more new stuff coming up soon.
The 2012 Celebration of Excellence saw Canadian Olympians reach millions of students, fans, corporate partners, government leaders over a three-day period of public outreach in Ottawa and Toronto. One of the highlights for me was meeting fans and students from Toronto on Friday September 21st at the Olympic Heroes Parade. This was our opportunity to thank our communities for their support through public appearances in schools, hospitals, and public celebrations.
In June, my teammates and I travelled to Arosa, Switzerland to compete at the World Cup. Rosie MacLennan won a gold medal (and dropped her trophy on the podium) and Karen Cockburn won a silver medal! We had a lot of fun touring around – the food was amazing!
You’ll see in my video that we took a gondola up the mountain (there were tons of sheep and cows) and at the top we had some fun with the snow. Karen taught us that if you want to yodel properly all you have to say is “old lady”. Keegan Soehn also jumped off the edge of a cliff and gave Karen a little surprise by showing some skin…

July 1st is Canada Day and the town of Milton decided to celebrate with Canada’s national trampoline team. In this video Carl Rom Colthoff, Phil Barbaro, Rosie MacLennan, Karen Cockburn, Jason Burnett, and Mathieu Turgeon demonstrate the sport of trampoline at the Milton Canada Day Fair.
